At NPJ, we offer club volleyball for all youth ages and experience levels! All of our travel club teams participate in the CEVA Region of USA Volleyball and will have Power League tournaments + Regionals at the end of the season. Our teams will also compete in multi-day tournaments run by Top Court Events, plus National Qualifiers for the top teams.

Our National teams are the top teams in each age group, and will travel across the country with the goal of qualifying for the USAV Girls Junior National Championships. Our Premier teams are the 2's teams, and depending on the strength of the team, will also compete for a shot at Nationals. From there, our 3's are Black, our 4's are Orange, our 5's are White and our 6's are Royal.

In Bend, we also offer Local club volleyball, where teams will compete in AAU tournaments in the Central Oregon area. Practice times and the length of the season are shorter, allowing players to have the club experience without the increased expense or travel.

Absolutely! Every winner was once a beginner, and we'd love the opportunity to build your athlete a strong foundation.

Beginner players can absolutely tryout for a club team, and we have lots of beginner programming designed to be both high-repetition in a low-pressure environment.

Academy is the best program for brand new players, along with Youth League. Both programs will teach all of the skills and positions where the score of the game isn't a factor. Players will gain the knowledge of how volleyball works and how to work as a team. Beach volleyball is a tough game but can also be fun for beginners! Reach out to your location Director to find the program that works best for you.

Costs of club volleyball & tournament schedules are posted on the NPJ website under each team. Practice schedules are finalized once all of the teams are built. 

Club dues cover coaches pay & travel, gym time for practice, tournament entry fees & regional membership fees. National teams also receive Hudl access for video & recruiting. 

Additional costs include the uniform package & travel expenses.

If your club team qualifies for the post-season (Triple Crown, GJNC), there will be additional charges. Every player who accepts a spot on a National team is responsible for their share of post-season dues, even if they plan to not participate in the post-season. 

The goal is always to create the strongest teams we possibly can. We consider the experience level of each athlete, their strongest and secondary positions, and their long-term goals before offering a spot on the team. We take 12 players per team so we can play competitive 6v6 during practice, and to have the depth if athletes are multi-sport or in case of injury. 

Players will play a variety of competitive games at tryouts where coaches can evaluate each athlete on all of their skills, before sorting athletes by position. At the end of tryouts, coaches will offer the National teams first, followed by the Premier team, Black, White, Orange and Royal. We ask that players make a decision before leaving the gym so we can get teams locked in and so we can build out the practice schedule. If you leave the gym before signing, your offer will expire.

When you're ready to accept a spot on the team, you'll fill out the CEVA Letter of Comittment, you'll pay a deposit for the season and you'll order your uniform package through GearUp. 

We host tryouts in mid-November, and begin practice the Monday after Thanksgiving. Club teams will practice twice a week for 2 hours each (local teams are 90 minutes). The travel club season concludes at CEVA Regionals, taking place at the end of April/beginning of May. If your team qualifies for the post-season, your season could last until the July 4th holiday. Local teams wrap up by mid-March.

All over the PNW and beyond! Each team has a different schedule, with the top travel teams participating in a more robust travel schedule, including out-of-state tournaments.

CEVA Power League tournaments are typically on the I-5 corridor, and each tournament location is posted on AES around 5 or so days before the event. For a full list of potential locations, visit the CEVA website and then Indoor>Information>Facilities.

Many Top Court Events take place at the Clark County Events Center in Ridgefield, WA.

CEVA Regional Championships take place at the Portland Expo Center & Olympus Sports Center.

Qualifier tournaments take place in many different cities, such as Spokane, Reno, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City & much more. 

Local teams in Bend participate in AAU tournaments in Sisters, Redmond & Prineville. 

We've partnered with GearUp to handle all of the uniforms. GearUp will send your package directly to your home within 3 weeks of placing the order. Players will receive 2-3 jerseys, 2 practice tees, spandex shorts, leggins, a hoodie, backpack and kneepads in the uniform package. Players can order extra gear such as armsleeves in addition to the package.

While we cannot guarantee a spot for any athlete, we do everything we can to find a team that is the best fit for your athlete. Sometimes that means going from earning less playing time on a higher performing team to earning significant playing time on a more developmental team. The goal is to play for a team where you can develop into the best possible volleyball player while having the most fun. 

NPJ does allow for fundraising to help with the costs of club. Past fundraisers include Hanging Flower Baskets, fruit sales, Ad space sales through our livestream provider Sporfie and more. We've also had teams host youth clinics, beach tournaments and tshirt fundraisers to help with post-season dues.

NPJ does not offer scholarships, however we encourage our athletes to apply for the CEVA scholarship.

While you don't need a separate physical to compete for NPJ, you will have to fill out a USA Volleyball Medical Release form to participate. We need this form to be completed at tryouts and will have copies available. 

We have coaches in all 4 locations that can provide extra training through private lessons. You'll first reach out to the Coach of your choosing to see when they can secure court time. Once you and the coach have decided upon a day & time, you'll use the links below to book and pay for the lesson. Individual and group lessons are both great for getting extra reps and working on skill/position specifics.

All lessons MUST be confirmed with the coach before booking online, and a receipt must be shown to the coach before the lesson takes place.

WE LOVE BEACH! NPJ offers Beach Club Sand Volleyball training in all 4 locations, and Elite Beach in Salem & Bend. We also host sand tournaments affiliated with p1440, the AVP and USA Volleyball in Salem & Bend.

Refunds are not given for club or clinics. This includes injury or any kind of team absence or stepping away from the season. By registering for an NPJ Program, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. No Refunds: All registration fees are non-refundable. Once payment is received, there will be no refunds issued for any reason, including, but not limited to, Program cancellation, injury, absence, or non-participation.
2. Program Insurance: We strongly encourage you to consider purchasing insurance for participation in any NPJ Program. Insurance can provide protection if an athlete or team is unable to attend a Program due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, or emergencies, and may help recoup registration costs. While NPJ does not provide cancellation insurance, we have facilitated an opportunity for you to do so through Vertical Insure.
