Sam Solis- 15 Elite Head Coach

I first began my volleyball career at age 9. I went on to play club for 6 years, and spent 4 years playing at West Albany High School. Some of my favorite highlights were playing at the platinum level in the 18s division for a club season, placing 2nd in 5A state, and winning a 5A state championship at West Albany where my team was ranked 22nd in the nation part way through the season. I was also awarded with an all state honorable mention as a libero, and was given the West Albany coaches award my senior year. After high school I decided to shift focus mainly to my education and coaching, so I attended Western Oregon University where I played intramural volleyball and won two championships.

This will be my 14th year coaching. I have coached ages ranging from 8-18 at various levels of skill, and really enjoy getting to help develop players and seeing them grow. I am currently the head JV coach at West Albany High School. I have also coached 2 previous seasons at NPJ with one of my most memorable assisting the 17-nationals team.

I currently teach high school science in Lebanon, where I reside with my 7 pets.

Scott Mueller- 15 Elite Assistant Coach

I am a first year head coach with multiple years of success in competitive volleyball. I have played since I was 10 years old and have found success in both my high school and collegiate club careers. I was an all around player (outside, opposite, libero, setter) during high school and was a starting outside hitter on the two DII club national championship winning teams at SLU. I want to be a coach who supports athletes in achieving their competitive dreams in a fun, active and knowledgable environment.

Currently, I am a physical therapist striving towards a Sports specialty certification working in Salem. I enjoy playing beach and indoor volleyball, hiking at any park I can find and playing golf in my free time.
