Kerrie Fareti - 14 Black Head Coach

Kerrie Fareti grew up around volleyball. It was the life of every teenager in almost every village in Samoa. She knew volleyball would be a big part of her life especially when she found out her older sister was one of the few to ever get a D1 offer from her island, and she wanted to be just like her and compete at any level. When Kerrie moved to WA at the age of 14, she played on varsity all 4 years in high school. She started pursuing volleyball in college but things happened in her family, so she decided to take a few years off. She would volunteer at the youth facilities, churches, Middle Schools and High School volleyball program. She then just focused on training her oldest daughter to pursue her love for volleyball. Kerrie coached a couple of years of club volleyball elsewhere until she found NPJ 2 years ago and has been here since.

Kerrie believes everyone is given the opportunity at practice to get better and grow and compete. Seeing the growth in players and watching them achieve goals they worked so hard to accomplish, makes her fall in love with coaching volleyball even more. She believes that teenagers can use volleyball as an outlet, therapy to get through tough times in their lives.  It is here where we build leaders who will go on and remember everything volleyball has taught them on and off the court.

Kerrie enjoys being a part of the NPJ family and will continue to build young leaders and even greater volleyball players!
