Eric Han - 17 National Head Coach

Eric has coached for 16 years in many settings throughout the Puget Sound Region including high school, college, club, and the region’s high performance program. He is excited to bring his experience and success to NPJ and lead the U17 National team this season.

In the high school setting, Eric coached at Rogers High School for four seasons where they made a District appearance each year. More recently, he has coached at Kentridge High School finishing the last season with a 26-1 record finishing first in Conference, first in Districts, and third in State.

In college, Eric coaches at the University of Puget Sound where he has been the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator the last five seasons. In 2022, Eric helped lead the Loggers to a first place finish in Conference and earned a trip to Regionals.

Eric has led successful club teams in the Puget Sound earning many bids to the Girls Junior National Championships including one Liberty bid, one USA bid, thee American bids, and four National bids. His teams have also had success at the Las Vegas Classic and Emerald City Classic. His success in the region afforded him the opportunity to coach with the region’s All-Star team and they finished second in 2022 against some of the top teams in the nation.

McKenzie Schwan - 17 National Assistant Coach

McKenzie started playing volleyball when she was 12 years old. While playing club volleyball McKenzie played for Kent Juniors Volleyball Club as an outside hitter. She played varsity volleyball at Bellarmine Prep for four years earning 2 state titles.

McKenzie played USA volleyball and also played for the regional high performance team growing up. McKenzie earned a full athletic scholarship for volleyball at the University of Portland as a defensive specialist and libero.

McKenzie currently works in property and evidence for a local agency and has a cat Loki (pixie-bob minx).

McKenzie has coached high school, camps, academies, does private lessons, and head coached an NPJ team last year.  This will be her fourth year coaching with NPJ and we are lucky to have her experience in as a coach and player.
