Currently Coaching- Head Varsity Coach at Crescent Valley High School

I have been involved in the sport of volleyball for 30 years, either playing or coaching. Started playing at Thurston High School and then club ball at the University of Oregon. I continue to play recreationally in Eugene and occasionally in competitive men’s tournaments in the area. I started coaching for Kidsports in Eugene. After a year, moved into coaching club for Storm-N-West, coaching the third 14s team. Coached two years with them and then co-founded Emerald City, coaching the top 16s team. After two years, started another club named Webfoot Juniors and coached the 18s top team. Three years of running that club, merged with Cathy Nelson and coached the top 14s team. Spent 12 years with Webfoot focusing on 14s and 16s until last year when I was with the 18 Silver team.

During the same span I have coached at various levels at various high schools. I started at Pleasant Hill High school as their JV2 coach. I moved to Sheldon High after a year. After a year as Sheldon’s JV coach, I got the varsity head coach position at Willamette High School. I was there for 6 years, followed by a year break. I then coached the JV team at Thurston High for two years and decided to take a break again until
last year, when I volunteered to assist the varsity team at Lebanon
High. I became the Head Coach at Crescent Valley High School in 2018. I've coached for NPJ for six seasons.

I have been in love with playing the sport since the 4th grade.. and coaching since 2016. I played club for DSK Volleyball for 2 years before ending my last four years with NPJ. I attended Lebanon High School where I was a four-year varsity starter, appearing at the state tournament in 2013 finishing 4th and 2014 finishing 5th. I was named All League MVP during my senior year, as well as earning 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Tournament honors. After high school I attended Warner Pacific University in Portland, OR. During my freshman year of college I was a starting outside hitter, and in my sophmore year I took a red shirt due to a tear in my knee that eventually ended my playing career.

I started out my coaching career for PDX Vollyball Club, where I coached for 4 years ranging from 14s to 18s. During the off season of club I coached 6th and 7th grade for the Grant Youth Program, as well as assisting with open gyms and camps at Grant High School and Rex Putnam High School.

Outside of coaching.. I work at Legacy Emanuel Hospital on our Level 1 Trauma Unit while finishing my nursing degree at Mt Hood Community College.
