Experience Level

Beginner Level: This means you identify as someone with little to no volleyball experience or up to 2-3 years of YMCA or Boys and Girls Club level playing experience. If you’re a beginner, you might know the basic rules of the game or not. You know how to pass and set, or serve, but you don’t feel that consistent. Beginner level players can make their serve 50% of the time or lower, and it’s not that powerful of difficult to pass.

Intermediate Level: This means you identify as someone with at least one year of club volleyball, in addition to multiple years of YMCA or BNG’s club. Perhaps you’ve played for you middle school team. You feel pretty confident in your skills and you feel like you have a pretty good understanding of the rules of the game. You might not know all the rules, but you know most of them. Intermediate Level players can make their serve 70% of the time or higher, and it’s challenging to pass. You’ve got a tough serve.

Advanced/High School Elite:  This camp is designed for rising high school players who identify as elite or advanced. Elite players are typically one of the best players on their team, but elite players are generally one of the best players on either side of the net. This camp is also designed for advanced players who aspire to play and compete at the elite level. Advanced players might not be one of the best players on the floor, but they can most certainly compete with the best and have the ability to challenge the best. This "elite" camp offering is a new concept that we are trying. What we are offering is a volleyball camp geared for elite and advanced volleyball players who aspire to play in college. Most players of this caliber (skill, experience, and age) tend to sign up for college volleyball camps, with the hopes of getting college level training and coaching. However, the vast majority of college volleyball camp participants typically get coached by current and former players (most of whom have little to no coaching experience) and guest coaches (coaches with varying years of experience). If you're hoping for top level training, intensity, competition, and expert coaching, college volleyball camps can be hit or miss especially if you are not being actively recruited to the college. If you're looking for an alternative option to the typical summer college volleyball camp, we highly recommend giving this one a try. All rising high school athletes are welcome. All registrants will be asked to select the appropriate "level of play" that best describes their current level. This helps with planning purposes. If you wish to participate, but do not identify as "elite" or "advanced," you can select either "beginner" or "intermediate." This camp is not recommended for beginners. If you are a beginner please consider checking out our clinic, academy, or lesson options.
